IYT Training

S.Y. Polaris is an IYT approved training facility and we offer candidates professionally recognized course instruction while simultaneously earning logable seatime.
IYT - International Yacht Training Inc. is an internationally recognized training organization that instructs both recreational and professional sailors. IYT professional qualifications are recognized by 29 countries worldwide including the UK, USA and Australia. All S.Y.Polaris IYT students are issued an IYT International passport which is a lifetime record of the courses they have undertaken and a log of their sailing experience. As each course is completed the school stamps and seals the appropriate IYT modules. This information is then forwarded to the IYT headquarters in Florida so the record can be examined by any skipper or sailing school to verify your training in the subjects covered.

"Learn to Work on SuperYachts" program

Do you want Seatime? Need experience on a Superyacht or Seatime & Training on a Luxury Super Yacht?
Gain seatime, valuable experience & professional training on IYT certified S.Y. Polaris through one of our "Train Onboard" positions. If you are prepared to invest only USD $35 per day to BOOST your yachting career (which covers basic food and accom') you will be able work as part of the professional crew on Polaris a 52 mtr Superyacht. Your duties will include working as crew on regular luxury charters and short cruises around the beautiful islands and various parts of Malaysia and Thailand Phuket, Krabi, Koh Lanta, Koh Lipe,Langkawi are just a sample of where we sail to. Your position onboard will be determined based on your current experience level and an interview with the Captain.
